Yes, there are other sites that claim to be blog search engines, but they either are blog and everything else search engines. Search engines that just go out and spider everything that they think might be a blog, quality site, spam, or what ever so that they can add to the number of pages at the expense of quality.

We choose to develop a site that returns search results that focus on the best of the blogs on the Internet. This will cause us to not have 100’s of pages of results for each search, but a few pages of quality results. We may also not always have a result for a search, but we are adding sites to our index as we find ones that pass our review.

Why partner with Google? Why not. They are the leader in searching and indexing sites. As we grow we hope to develop our own search engine, but at this time why not work with the best.
